As part of the long-term strategic development of the UK company we are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our small dynamic team.

The role will include installation, service and repair of feed systems, camera systems and wireless networks on aquaculture sites and service/maintenance of the same equipment in our workshop. The position requires you to be available for travel to sites, including locations in Orkney, Western Isles and Ireland. Sometimes this travel will be at short-notice and you will also be required to provide on-call cover over weekends as part of a rota system. In fulfilling this role, you will be required to complete Risk Assessments, timesheets and adhere to various policies/procedures.

Essential skills – qualified 18th Edition Wiring Regs, Inspection & Testing of Installations and experience with 3-phase installations and equipment

Desirable skills – a good working knowledge of electrical and electronic systems. Knowledge and understanding of PLC based systems. An understanding of IT networking, troubleshooting and support would also be of benefit. Where required, on-the-job training and external training will be provided.

Electrical qualifications are essential and good mechanical knowledge and experience of working in a marine or aquaculture environment may also be advantageous.

Desirable personal traits include having good communication skills, being self-motivated, willingness to learn, self-reliance and prepared to work flexibly to meet the demands of the job.
