Innovation and development

Constant development needs to happen at all levels of the organization. In ScaleAQ we are continuously tweaking and optimizing existing products. In addition, we do targeted development of new products based on existing solutions and long-term projects to bring brand new concepts to the aquaculture industry.

As a company we want to use our position and insight in the industry to contribute on all levels alongside our customers and partners. Our R&D department collect ideas from across the entire organization as well as from customers to establish strong development projects, often in collaboration with academic institutions.

We have the systems and professional project management to ensure quality
and oversight to support people and environments showing commitment and initiative. Our advisors can facilitate access to ScaleAQ’s entire development team across all areas within aquaculture to support customers cases.

Audun Fjeldvær

CEO, ScaleAQ Group

Audun Fjeldvær has held several leadership positions in what is now ScaleAQ since 2013, working in sales, product strategy, and technology development. From April 2023 to August 2024, he led the company’s largest division, ScaleAQ Seabased. He is now the Group CEO. He also has firsthand experience in salmon farming, having served for many years as a shift manager at sea facilities in SalMar.

Svein Vestermo

CEO, ScaleAQ Group

Svein Vestermo has been the Group CFO since May 2020. He holds an MSc in Business and Economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)/Nord University. Svein has more than 20 years of experience in both line management and corporate finance. He joined ScaleAQ from Saferoad where he was a Division Director and the Group CFO.

Nina Olufsen

Chief Strategy & People Officer, ScaleAQ Group

Nina Olufsen joined ScaleAQ in March 2022 and is the Chief Commercial & Strategy Officer. She has extensive management and board experience in both B2B and B2C from various industries, and has also worked as a strategy consultant and financial analyst. Olufsen has led demanding growth, restructuring and change processes throughout her career, with responsibility for both designing and implementing business strategies, and has led a number of acquisition and sale transactions.

Hanne Digre

Chief Sustainability Officer, ScaleAQ Group

Hanne Digre is the CSO (Chief Sustainability Officer) at ScaleAQ, which she joined in November 2020. She heads the company’s sustainability work. Hanne holds a PhD from the Department of Biotechnology (NTNU), a master’s degree in food technology from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), and an executive master’s degree in strategy and management. Hanne has more than 26 years of experience in business and research and development in the seafood industry, both national and international.
