Astrid Buran Holand, PhD, is not just our “Head of Innovation Landbased” but also a published co-author of the book Health management in recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS).

Together with Christopher Good and Mark D. Powell, she has written the chapter on RAS in general and the various components, recycling using seawater and the risks included. In addition, the chapter is about the aquaculture environment, welfare and possible pathogenic threats in RAS.

The book has a practical approach, aimed at fish farmers, veterinarians, and industry players, as well as governments, management or academics interested in aquaculture and its sustainable future.
