Grieg Seafood Rogaland wanted a feed barge specially equipped for aquaculture education. This has resulted in an especially customized barge with an extended living area, which takes care of both eduction and operation in a very good way. Facilities are separated so that the school section has a separate classroom for 12 students, with separate wardrobes, toilets and showers. We think the classroom has become perhaps Norway’s most beautiful – with nice, bright, conditions and fantastic views.

To take care of the daily operations, the barge has its own living room, kitchen and office separately from the school section, as well as separate cabins, changing rooms, showers and toilets. The barge is equipped with extended silage capacity, ScaleAQ pre-grinder and extended acid storage with automation on the pump unit.

The barge is a Nova Concrete, can store 600 tonnes of feed, measures 20 × 40 meters, and is delivered with a FeedStation central feeding system with eight feed lines. Furthermore, the barge has 120 m³ of silage storage and is equipped with ScaleAQ’s self-developed pre-grinder. Built and certified in accordance with NS9415 and Nytek.
